Hi all - This is probably very easy and I think I have been staring at this too long.
I have a situation at work where I need to import data from a CSV file, do some manipulation on it before saving it into a SQL table.
I read the data from the CSV into a DataTable and then populate a GridView with it. The contents of the GridView are then checked by the User and the results saved to the database. The DataTable / GridView has the columns:
- FirstName
- LastName
- DateOfBirth
- JobTitle
- EmployeeNumber
- ManagerEmployeeNumber
- Region
- BusinessUnit...
Now, normally we have "Email" and "ManagerEmail" as part of the import but this customer is not providing us with either. I have created an Email for the Person using the first two letters from their lastname + employee number + year of birth @ ourcustomer.com - Easy!
Now my problem...using my datatable I need to populate the "ManagerEmail" ...
