There is an error when installing SQL Express 2008. Have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. Used the MSI cleanup utility as well to ensure nothing is left behind. Also deleted the remaining folders prior to reinstalling. Always the same error. We have also tried to remove and reinstall MSXML 6 as it had an error when we tried to remove it. It has been successfully uninstalled and reinstalled. The system previously had SQL 2000 and that has since been removed and it uninstalled successfully. The system had AVG Antivirus, all components / services of it have been deactivated through services and MSCONFIG. Computer Information: Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
