Hello Experts,

My scenario goes like this. I have to develop an existing application from scratch. So, I was thinking that instead of designing webpages for creating user, creating roles, managing roles, I will take the advantage of the new website admin tool , but I have a problem. I  already have a table which stores user name and password, I want the application to authenticate with this table rather than the default appmemembership table and If i create a new user, that user should be added to this table.

I know this is possible, but I am missing some link. I am able to get all those tables created in my database but what I really want is that it should allow me to authenticate with the existing username and password.

I hope I am clear , I am pasting some code from my webconfig to let me know where I am going wrong.

This is my connection string
