What does Explorer do to the PIDLs i pass to him?

Hello there,i hope this is the correct forum for this. I am currently building a shell Namespace extension which seems to be working fine so far. Now i tried to implement a function to remove every item under my root-element, since my extension is capable of connecting to different servers with different elements.My approach was to catch every ItemIDList, i allocate memory for, and store its PIDL in a map, in order to be able to iterate through the whole map and just free every PIDL inside. When i try to do that, i experience, that some ItemIDList-Objects seem to have changed values and freeing them leads to serious errors. Their cb-value e.g. isnt the same anymore, that it was, when i created it. Since i didnt touch the value ever again after creation, i checked if i freed the IDList before, so that there could be any other values at this piece of memory. This thought also proved wrong.My guess now is, that explorer ...
