Hi,

I've made a research out there and, so far, I couldn't find any solution for it.

People are complaining that WebMethods can't be called from a usercontrol if this method is defined in the usercontrol's code behind. Fine.

But, what about calling webservices instead!

Is it possible to call a webservice from a usercontrol through AJAX?

In short, the idea I have in my mind is:

1st.: Check if there is a ScriptControl in the page that is using the control and deal with that.

2nd.: Add the javascript that will be calling the webmethod(webservice) into the usercontrol.

3rd.: Call the javascript function(one that calls the webmethod) and wait for a callback.

The problem is that when I call the WebMethod from the javascript it generates an error saying that the webmethod name does not exist, seeming that the webservice is not binded with the usercontrol/page.
