SQL Server 2005 EE 32bit Upgrade to SQL Server 2008 R2 Express 64bit

I'm planning on upgrading SQL Server 2005 RTM EE database to SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP1 64 bit. 
Questions:
1.  Can you upgrade SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition to SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Edition?
2.  My understanding is that 32 Bit to 64 Bit is ok if you do a detach and attach of the database - is this correct?
