share variables between .cs and javascript?

 I have a javascript function on my form that adds a new input box when the user requests one with a button.
When the page loads, I initialize a value to record how many boxes have been added so I can limit them to under a specific number.
Question is:
I have another page that Im trying to use the same javascript for, only difference being that I want to pass a value from my .cs (specifically, the number of a certain type of controls that exist on the page) and pass that value into my javascript so that I can INITIALIZE the value to make the add limit dynamic.
can this be done?
