Greetings!
I'm programming passionate, and currently working on some page with restricted access based on user name and password.

I'm working on user validation in scenario: client side - javascript, service - WCF. I'm not sure which way would be the best but I'm kinda close to choose custom membership provider (validating against some db). Im using basicHttpBinding with TransportWithMessageCredential and UserName as clientCredentialType. I might be wrong but it should work in this scenario. Please point me in right direction (if its good idea to handle this scenario like this?). I'm not sure if the code is correct, but currently I'm facing error (in Cassini, in Visual Studio) while trying to access the WCF service - "Could not find a base address that matches scheme https
for the endpoint with binding BasicHttpBinding. Registered base address
schemes are [http]". I guess thats becouse you cannot debug in VS in https mode ...

Go to the complete details ...
