Hello all,
I have been struggling with role based security for an application I am working on. I am fairly new to security in asp.net. We have 4 active directory groups that different users belong to for an intranet application we are buidling. Each group gets access to certain pages within the application. I am completely confused as to how to implement this security scheme.
I have set authentication mode to Windows and <authorization> <deny users="?"> </authorization>
I have also included <roleManager enabled = "true" defaultProvider="AspNetWindowsTokenRoleProvider"/>
do I need to use <location path=webpage.aspx" for each of the pages to grant each group privelages or denials?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
