Determine the event name that caused the postback

 Can we get the event name of the control that caused the postback in global.asax?

I mean suppose I have a table Log & there is a field EventName.

When a page is loaded first this field is blank,then on postback i.e if a button is clicked,it should be populated with the event name so Button1_Click & so on & this should be done in global.asax?

Is this possible?
