I am making an ASCX web control that makes asynchronous calls to a web service on the server. The control displays detail lines for an order, and I am trying to give the user the ability to make requests to each line. Currently I have a button control that pops up a Panel with a text field and Ok button that uses the ModalPopupExtender. Clicking Ok calls the WebService passing in the value of the text field. For testing I have made the OnComplete javascript function display an alert with the return of the function. So far this is working fine, except that the alert is displayed once for each detail line (instance of the ASCX added to the page), so if the order has ten detail lines, ten alerts popup. What I want it to do is just alert for the line that has been changed. Can anyone help with this?
