Application:
We have microsoft reporting
services installed in a server. The server is behind a firewall and in
a load balanced environment. There are 2 web applications that makes up
the reporting services. 1. Report Manager 2. Report Server. Report
Manager makes calls to report server web service to get information.
Problem:
When
user connects to the report server link using IE 6, there is no issue.
But if he tries to connect to Report Manager link (which makes a call
to report server web service), user is getting "401.1 Unauthorized"
error. The odd thing is, this is only happening with IE 6. The same
link works for the same user (domain) in IE 7 and IE 8. More over, if
the user runs fiddler tool and then tried the same link in IE 6, the
link works fine.
