I have something that's working, but I'm pretty new to ASP.NET. I'm looking for any suggestions on how to do this better or more according to best practices or standards.
All I'm doing is loading default values into some drop-down boxes on a form. The default values are in text files in App_Data which I have named to match the ID of the drop-down boxes. In particular, I'm wondering if there's a better way to: find the form items, detect the type of an element (form, select, textbox, etc.), access App_Data, and open and loop through a text file line-by-line.
