Is there a way to copy a source database (full recovery model) from one server to another server but dropping the transaction log as it is not needed?  We are trying to speed up the copy process and any advice is appreciated.  Both Dbs are SQL Server Express 2012.  I think the destination database can use either recovery model (simple or full) as it gets recreated every day and is just a "copy".
EDIT: We do not need to ever restore the destination db to a point in time.  The data at the time of the copy (a snapshot) is fine for our needs.

Will this transact sql work below or not when the source Db is LIVE. I believe you normally run a proper SQL Server backup and restore...
