I have a .aspx page where the user indicates the owner of an itemto be stored in a database. It may be that the owner already exists in the database in which case they should be selected from a list. If the owner doesn't already exist the user can create a new owner.
I have chosen to present the user with a list of existing owners using a radiobuttonlist. Essentially once they have checked a radio button to indicate they wish to select an owner from the list, they are presented with the radiobuttonlist from which to choose an existing owner. When they click a button the value of the selected item should be obtained.
The problem is that when I try and get the value (or text) of the selected item from the radiobuttonlist I get no value. This is the same whether or not an item from the list is checked.
