This must be a very common scenario.
A user is creating a new record. They enter all the fields and pass all validation, the form is submitted, a function server side checks the database to see if this record already exists. Pass a message back to the user informing them of a possible duplication, give them the option to continue, or cancel.
I basically need a confirm message to be displayed to say "are you sure you want to create this?" based on some server side event. I know about the confirm button in the AJAX toolkit, but trying to get vb and javascript to communicate gives me a headache at the best of times.
Could someone help me out?
