would you pls. tell me what is the software to be installed to start working on ASP DOTNET

I have decided to start learning ASP.NET.

I have completed OCA recently. i am working in a financial organization as a senior business analyst.  i have two following questions to be asked before you which are as follows: 
1. would you pls. tell me what is the software to be installed to start learning on ASP DOTNET. my question may seem to be silly but your answer may help me a lot to give first step in my new journey with ASP DOT NET. 
for your kind information, i have installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.Net (Team System). after installation, i can't find anything like dot net from  START > PROGRAM options. my os is: windows xp. 
           a. if i have to install ASP.NET separately then pls. mention the version. 
2. after some months, i will attend one course on ASP.NET, but before that i want to be familiar with the dot net. for that reason, pls. give me some sources of online (preferably video) tutor ...
