Hi All,
I am new to asp.net. As part of the learning process ,I am going through two projects which was completed by my company.
Project 1
In this I see a good number of classes are created in the app_code folder. One such class deals with the connection to the database. I also see the presence of connection string ,and a number of function to fetch data through adapter and readers.
Project 2.
In this I see the connection string present in the webconfig file and most of the sqlcommand and adapters present in the .cs file and also a good number of stored procedures.
My manager seems to be one of the busiest person in the world. So I have to find out things myself.
I understand I can use only one of the ways while dealing with database but when to use what?
The pros and cons of this?
Do the above methods have any name (Tier or architecture).
