Sorry if this is a basic question.
When we refer to control collections (that maybe the correct terminology) what does the number in the brackets refer to?
For instance - assuming we have a repeater item named "item";
Panel pnlFullOfControls = (Panel)item.FindControl("Pnl_Full_Of_Controls")
HiddenField hfSomeValue = (HiddenField)pnlFullOfControls.Controls[0].FindControl("HF_Some_Value");
The bit I'm referring to is between Controls and FindControl. What do the indices refer to when we talk about Controls[0] as opposed to Controls[1]?
