Dear all,
we are planning to migrate our old databases from MS Access to SQL Server Express (and later maybe SQL Server) but there is one core question I have not been able to find an answer to:
Our users will usually connect through the domain to the SQL Server. The frontend remains Access 2010 (forms only) and the tables are linked to the SQL Server. However, it is frequently necessary for some users to have access to the data while not connected
to the domain (or the internet altogether). So the question is, is there any way that this hybrid online/offline mode can be implemented with SQL Express Server 2012 and an Access Frontend? And if yes, is there a way that any changes the users makes in the
offline tables can be synchronized back to the server once the user is back online?
I apologize if this question has been answered or is maybe in the wrong forum. I have been searching high and low but wasnt able to find an appropriate answer.
Thank y ...
