We have been running a custom web app for over a year with no issues until 2 days ago, when it was found that the app was not returning usernames. The process is the user logs in using AD credentials, this is verified at the Domain Controller, then an entry is placed into a database for user tracking. That entry to the database is now empty where the username used to be. It also inserts date/time and IP address, both if these are being recorded fine.
The app relies on the username to grant rights within the app, so this is a critical issue that we cannot seem to see what the problem is. We have gone as far as to move the app to a different computer, with the same results. No other changes have occurred to the web server at all. No updates, web site file dates are the same, dated last year.
Any help .. pointers..sympathy..would be appreciated..
