transfer values from one page to another page using properties

Hi,
here the my sample codeprivate string username; public string UserName { get return username; } public void Page_Load(object sender, evenargs e) connection string goes here aflter success sql execution execution i asssigned select statement value to property like while(sqldatareader.read()) username = Convert.toString(sqldatareader[0]); Response.Write(username);

THis statement is giving my expected result in current.aspx page, after using (server.trasfer(second.aspx)) to trasfer into secondpage,
while i ftranfer this UserName propety into another page (second page) i am getting '0'
result in second page.
how can i get exact value in second page with propertys , i searched whole for this .
all are passing values with text box or controls, with out using controls how can i read.....
