I am using forms authentication in my app. The process to implement it had me run script that created a bunch of sprocs and tables in the database (sql server). Now I have another web app with a different database and web.config and I want to use the same login info. I was thinking of moving the asp.net tables and sprocs to a separate database for a more central application login approach. Can the asp.net profile stuff be in a separate database from the application? It looks like it is only a matter of changing the pointer in the web.config file, along with moving the objects in the database (along my custom users table). Is all this relatively possible?
I was thinking I could also make one large project out of it, but I liked keeping them in separate projects.
