Server.Transfer problem

Hi,

I'm using Server.Transfer([some url], true) to reload a page and I need to preserve the form values. I put the server.transfer in a button click event. The problem is that, since I'm reloading the same page, when then page is reloaded, the button click is performed again and again, creating a loop.

Is there any way to cancel from the viewstate the button click event and preserve the rest of the viewstate?
