Access the 'InputAttributes' of the individual buttons in a RadioButtonList

I have a need to access the 'InputAttributes' of the individual buttons in a RadioButtonList, specifically the Title attribute.  I know that I can get each item of a RadioButtonList and add the title attribute like this:
             item.Attributes.Add("title", "Select the color Red")
 However, .NET will render the RadioButtonList as:
<span title="SELECT the color Red">
 <input id="RadioButtonList1_0" type="radio" name="RadioButtonList1" value="Red" />
 <label for="RadioButtonList1_0">Red</label>
</span>
 But what I need is:
