Number entered into textbox - want to check it exists in access database

Hi.
i am looking for some sort of solution if one exists,
i have a textbox which i enter 4 digits into, this then brings back a range of data from an access database.
is there a way to some how validate the textbox or get an error message if the number doesnt exist in the database?
