I am a novice in learning ASP.Net (VB) and have a website hosted by GoDaddy using MSSQL. I have membership/roles login enabled.
My question is how secure is information stored in my hosted database? A part of my database stores personal/confidential/sensitive information in the database (i.e., financial account info, passwords, etc) for off-site storage and convenient access purposes.
Is this not a good idea? What should I do to ensure information cant be read somehow through the internet or web browser markup viewing, etc?
