drop extension (.aspx) from url

I'm looking into the availablity of dropping the .aspx from the url, so far I've seen that IIS 7.0 can do it without a hitch, but we're on IIS6.
Can anyone give us some guidance on this?
i.e:
http://aUrl.com/something.aspx
to
http://aUrl.com/something
Thanks in advance
