I have a database backup file that is 18 GB. I setup the restore using the SSMS. The MDF and LDF are being restored to the local drive. The available space on the drive is 115GB
The restore never progresses beyond 0%.
I made a new backup of the database and did a SHRINKFILE on the log file prior to doing so.
I am using SQL 2008 R2. I've restored other backups without problem.
Any ideas on what I might try.
