I have a simple vb.net form that has a couple panels, but can't get a value that is just submitted to display in Panel 1.

Panel 1 is visible if the user has a record returned (on page load) by my sql stored procedure.  Panel 2 is visible if the user doesn't have a record returned by my sql stored procedure.  The purpose of panel 2 is to ask the user to submit a value.  So, after a user submits a value, Panel 2 is no longer visible and panel1 is visible.  However, for some reason, I can't the value returned by the sql stored procedure to display after the user clicks submit.  However, if I close the browser after submitting a value and return to the page, the record is displayed properly.
