I have an asp.net 2.0 ajax application. Now my app is a fairly simple one whereby it submits data to an email. I use a few panels to switch between views on my form. Now the first time I use the application, works fine. However when I click back on the browser button (I know users will do this!) and click a button 'Next' (which basically switches between panels based on user selection) I get presented with an ajax error message:
Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 500
I've tried to figure out what the cause is but cant find the exact error. Now I have taken the update panel away and it works all the time. I have also used this article from Microsoft about how to handle ajax error messages but not getting any detailed error message back. ...
