Hi folks

I want to have a series of images as a background to a page.  The idea is to have a certain image that would be displayed for a certain period of time then it would be replaced by another one.  The collection of images would be added progressively on an ad-hoc basis.

I was thinking about either storing the images in a table in a SQL Server Express DB (2005) or storing them in a folder in the application itself and having a field in the table that stored the path/filename to the image.

One thing I discovered was that the image datatype will be no longer supported by SQL Server, so if that is the case, what datatype should I use?

If it is preferable to just store the path/filename, then would varchar(x) be appropriate or some other type?

If somebody could help in this regard, I would really appreciate it.
