Roles

hi,
I'm working with roles, and was wondering if my site had 3 roles how I could match this up with 3 membership levels,
so that everyone in a role was in a membership level.
For instance if I had a rolename called 'basic' it would allow access to a membership level called 'basic'.
Would the best way be to create another table called membershiplevels and use the roleid as a foreign key?
