Passing a datatable into an ASP.NET C# method

?On a user button click I need to pass into method2 the datatable (dt) defined in the previous method, in my example the previous method is method1.
private voide Method1() {
     GridView1.DataSource = dt;
     GridView1.DataBind();
}
protected void method2_click(object sender, EventArgs e)
How do I pass the dt into method2 from method 1 on the button click event?
