DataSource types and performance

Hi, There are a couple of Datasource that I can use: Access Database, Sql Database, Entity, LINQ, Object, EntityDataSource and QueryExtender. What I see is that most of the code are done in the aspx page ( declarative ). My question, is there a performance boost using ObjectDataSource EntityDataSource over ADO.Net.... I personaly feel more comfortable using ado.net or objectDataSource. Bob
