Hello, 1st post !!!WARNING!!! im very new to all this web development malarky.  I come from a GIS background (think maps) and ive done some basic VB.NET stuff for desktop applications and a lot of VBA stuff with GIS applications, and only the past few months ive been trying to slide into the web development area,

I have been beginning to play around with ArcGIS Server - In short, you can create powerful mapping web applications based around ASP.NET.
Anyhow, forget about the mapping stuff - the problem I have is that I developed a load of ASP.NET websites that
worked fine on my home computer (fresh copy of XP Pro, VS 2008, using IIS 5.1, NET framework 3.0).These applications worked and were fairly quick to run through IIS as localhost.

I created similar web sites on my work computer (again XP Pro, IIS 5.1, VS2008, NET Framework 3.0) and the machine
is a better spec machine ...

Go to the complete details ...
