splitting the List based on pipe symbol and adding value to table

Hi,
I am using c# console application.
I have a List<string> data which contains sample data like this:
Dining Out|Sales|1;#john|Int
walkthrough|Marketing|2;#Mark|Ext
I have a basic html table, which has 4 table rows. I want to split the list based on the "|" symbol and add the data to each row. The number of items in the list can vary. How to add the data to the table row.
