I'm working on a web site that uses a MasterPage and has a 4-column, fluid-length layout. I have a background image that repeats on the y-axis, and the 4 columns are all floated so that the repeated image makes them all look the same length. Everything was good in the world, right up until I added another form to a page that requires it.
If I add a <form method="post" action="someaction" enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded"> to the content page that needs its own form, it completely throws off my layout. the next 2 columns, instead of being to the right of the coulmn with the form, appear underneath it, just as if I added an element that was too large. Here's the kicker - I remove only the form tag, leaving the rest of the content as-is, and the layout is perfect. Add the form tag back in - broken CSS. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening?
