Why if I create a label on the load() event its properties are restored after a postback, even though it doesn't pass through the loadviestate stage?
Example:Partial Class Default2 Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Protected Overrides Sub LoadViewState(ByVal savedState As Object) MyBase.LoadViewState(savedState) End Sub Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim lb As New Label Me.Controls.Add(lb) If Not Page.IsPostBack Then lb.Text = "xxxx" End If End Sub End Class <%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default2.aspx.vb" Inherits="Default2" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org ...
