hi, as you can see i have a text file on my clients PC's which is written by a desktop application at location (like C:\ or D:\)
now i want to access the file(assume mydata.txt) in my asp.net application at client login , but i cant figure out the way out of this as asp.net gives me errors :(( ; also can i use hidden fileuploader(Which i tried but this doesnt seem to be letting me set the path of User file directories) cause we can get file from user PC via POST method but i want to hide the process or What alternative can i use (i dont want it to be Active X as site should work cross browser) Will Applet do the job or anything else which can work.
