Hi,
I have an ASP.NET Webform with many input fields inside it. One or more of those values will be sent to the server using AJAX to eliminate some records in the Database. Now I want to make sure the client is not tampering with these values since this will have a deep impact on my Database. So I was thinking about the following:
Generating a hash field for each value, so later I compare the value with its hash. However, this might hamper the performance of my site since hashing is expensive in terms of performance.
I thought about including a column in the database table with a random value, so those two values are sent to the client. If they don't match, the query is rejected. So is there a better way to achieve this using encryption/hashing?
Thanks!
