Hi,

I have two questions about page methods in ASP.NET:

1) I want to understand better what is page method, in ASP.NET AJAX documentation they wrote: "To create Web methods in a page, import the System.Web.Services namespace and add a WebMethodAttribute attribute to each static method that you want to expose." and in MSDN the definition for WebMethodAttribute attribute is: "Adding this attribute to a method within an XML Web service created using ASP.NET makes the method callable from remote Web clients.". What does it mean? If I create Web method in a page, it is not callable from remote Web clients.

2) Page method must be static, is this mean that when I call this method from the client (javascript) , there is no page life cycle? (contrary to UpdatePanel)

Than ...
