Response.Write to html form field truncates at first space

After successfully posting to my database I use Response.Write to create a table/form with the just-loaded data.  Then there are options to modify or delete from there.  My problem is that whenever there is data in a given field that includes a space (i.e. firstname(space)lastname) the new form field only displays the first name and them moves on to the next field.  If I do this outside of a form, no problem, all text is there, but in a form it truncates.  Any suggestions without adding fields for each part?
