I have a web app I have developed using Windows Authentication, running on a Windows 2003 server with IIS 6. All users have an Active Directory account. Some users access the app locally from within the LAN and some from remote places using the internet.
I am able to get the local users into the app without having to re-authenticate by configuring their IE and adding the application site to the list of trusted Intranet sites. The users from the internet had to loging by entering the domain\username and password.
I recently enabled Digest Authentication in the IIS and that worked great for the Internet users, no more domain name confusion.
My problem is that now the users that access the site from within the LAN are prompted to authenticate to the app. Is there a way to have the LAN users go to the site without having to authenticate like before? Thanks for any help.
