Hello All,
I have a site that uses PHP as the main portal for users to login and do data entry.
I have a third party website that is on another domain that needs the same users to be able to pull up their asp.net based site to do data entry on their custom forms etc. What the programmer was doing before me was keeping a SQL Server database table and cross-referencing these third party logins/passwords with our in-house users. Then he would auto-log them into these various sites by doing the following:
Read the target login page of the third party site.
Embed the markup into a php page on our end.
Use JavaScript to auto-populate the username/password inputs and then submit the form.
After the form was submitted then our users would be logged into the third party site and ready to go.
One of the existing sites in asp.net made some changes without letting us know and now broke our kludge.
Go to the complete details ...
