I have Windows XP Professional and have Visual Studio 2008 Team Suite and SQL Server 2005 installed. I'd like to create a Web Site Project that uses my IIS as the web server and uses my SQL Server 2005 to use for the security database.
Here are my problems: After I create a web site (I'm using Local IIS when i create the project), I go to ASP.NET configuration, this brings up a web browser and has a Admin Tool but I believe its using the VS Development Server (I want IIS). The second problem is I click on the Security tab and it says: Unable to connect to SQL Server database. I dont know if its related but if I go to the Start Options, it says "Use Default Web Server" and the other option is greyed out. If the default web server is the ASP.NET Development Server, how do I change this to IIS? Go to the complete details ...
