table row delete during onSuccess function

I have some javascript that calls a webService to get some XML back and then I do some other stuff in javascript during the onSuccess function.
Everything works wonderfully until I need to attempt to delete a table row from a table and then possibly add a new one (depending on what was returned)


If I add the table.deleteRow(index) line then I get a javascript failure. The table row disappears but I get an error in the Microsoft ajax at line 79 with an error of Invalid Argument.
Far as I know, my code is doing everything just fine. I can step through all my lines before I get this error.
