WebConfigurationManager on client

my concern is whether it is good practice, <% @ Import Namespace = "System.Web.Configuration"%> in an aspx page, then you can use
'<% = WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings ["XXXXX".] ToString ()%> in JS knowing that in this object we can find sensitive information such as the connection string.
