ASP Substitution Control: How to display records from database?

Hi,

I am using <asp:substitution .../> control to implement post-cache substitution. In this control, there is an attribute named MethodName which specifices a method that returns a string. And, this string replaces the substitution control. This much I have understood.

Now, my requirement is that I have to display records from database (say in GridView) in place of substitution control. How can I generate GridView in the method specified in MethodName attribute of substitution control?
