I am in the process of creating my first e-commerce website. I am using asp.net membership/roles etc. At the moment I have a shoppingcart.aspx page which then proceeds to the checkout.aspx page. At the moment customers can only access the checkout stage if they are registered, if not they will be taken to the login page/register page. When they have registered and logged in they can then access checkout.aspx where they ahve the option to edit some of their details.
The problem is that I want to change this so that anyone can access checkout.aspx and buy products on my site without the need to register!! If they want to register they can and if they have then their registered details will automatically be inserted into a form on checkout.aspx which asks the customer for their shipping details. If they havent registered they simply have the choice to enter in their shippin ...
